Hmmmm...being as I'm not from Seattle, I thought it would be fun to come up with a list of movies that were filmed in Seattle or have used the city as a backdrop for the plot. That way I can do some more Seattle research (j/k)
I can only come up with one right now.
1.) Singles (Cameron Crowe)
Any more good ones....

Craig "Independent Speculative Investigator" H. says:
Another Cameron Crowe one = "Say Anything". But there're some obscure ones, too... I just saw one the other day, what was it... no, not "Sleepless in Seattle," don't even go there... there's "10 Things I Hate About You," but that's not the one I saw... shit, I can't remember it. I'll remember it tomorrow.

and don't forget An Officer and a Gentleman - mostly filmed just up the Sound at Fort Worden in Port Townsend - a gorgeous spot.

American Heart with Jeff Bridges. I think it was a complete flop but was filmed near an old apartment we had.

Ellen "your Velouria" M. says:
Around the mid-80s I saw (what I believe was) a documentary called "Streetwise." It was a rather compelling movie that featured young teen prostitutes and drug dealers in Seattle. I haven't seen it on any video rental shelves in years, but I'd watch it again if I got the chance.
