Don't know LB or the OC but we have had great service at Robertson Honda in NoHollywood. We have a new Element and an older Accord, they service both for us.

There's a place in Irvine that I've gone too a few times and they're pretty good - Vtec auto repair. Just got my 90K done there and new brakes put on as well. Its right next to the Irvine Auto Center.

Also, there's a place my neighbor uses and swears by - Honda Heaven (also klnown as H Heaven),  in Huntington Beach.

It's not in Long Beach but in Azusa, called "Horizon Honda/Acura specalist".  Great mechanics and honest but you should always bargain, they break easily.  I met a customer that came from Vegas to get their car repaired there.  Good luck.
